Accreditation, Approval and Memberships
Pioneer Pacific College Accreditation
Pioneer Pacific College is a business unit of a corporation and is authorized by the State of Oregon to offer and confer the academic degrees and certificates described herein, following a determination that state academic standards will be satisfied under OAR 583-030. Inquiries concerning the standards or school compliance may be directed to the Office of Degree Authorization, 775 Court St NE, Salem, Oregon 97301.
On December 22, 2016, Pioneer Pacific College signed a Provisional Program Participation Agreement (“PPPA”) with the U.S. Department of Education, which allows Pioneer Pacific College to maintain their accredited status and continue to participate in Title IV programs until June 12, 2018. According to the Department of Education, by signing this PPPA “the Secretary deems the institution to hold recognized accreditation” until June 12, 2018 “notwithstanding the loss of recognition of its accrediting agency”.
Pioneer Pacific College has applied for accreditation with a national accreditor. On May 5, 2017 we received notice that Pioneer Pacific College met initial eligibility requirements and that our application was in-process. The national accreditor will be visiting Pioneer Pacific College campuses during their visitation cycle between August and October 2017; Following these visits, Pioneer Pacific College will be considered for full accreditation at their Board Meeting scheduled for January 2018.
This school is authorized under Federal law to enroll non-immigrant alien students.
In addition, Pioneer Pacific College and/or its programs are approved by:
- Oregon Office of Degree Authorization (ODA) to offer and confer academic degrees
- U.S. Department of Veteran’s Affairs and the Oregon State Department of Education for the training of veterans
- Oregon Board of Medical Imaging
- Oregon State Board of Nursing
The Medical Assisting programs at PPC’s Wilsonville and Springfield locations are programmatically accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES). ABHES may be reached at 7777 Leesburg Pike, Suite 314 N. Falls Church, VA 22043, (703) 917-9503.
