My name is Elizabeth White, however, the staff, faculty and students call me Beti.
I am a retired U.S. Navy Hospital Corpsman. Upon graduation from the Naval School of Health Sciences, Bethesda, MD, my military experience included direct inpatient and outpatient care, medical offices, emergency room care, and outpatient medical procedures. Later in my career, I transitioned to health care administration.
My educational background includes a Bachelor Degree in Healthcare Management from Southern Illinois University and Master in Business from University of Phoenix.
Upon retirement from the Navy, I worked as a medical staff coordinator at a community hospital. I was a referral authorization approval specialist, processing commercial and Medicaid claims for reimbursement, and also a third party administrator with an insurance carrier.
At the pinnacle of my healthcare career, it became important for me to offer my background experience in healthcare to others, and the only way was to enter the educational arm of healthcare. Pioneer Pacific assisted me in accomplishing this task.
My hobbies are watercolor and oil paintings, and gardening, however in Oregon it is more about pulling weeds than growing my flowers, roses, and vegetables.
