I’m an instructor at the Wilsonville campus of Pioneer Pacific College. I teach both on-ground and online General Education classes including psychology, sociology, ethics, communications, and others. I’ve taught at PPC for fifteen years. My BA is in History from Whitworth University in Spokane and my MDiv from San Francisco Theological Seminary in San Anselmo, CA.
The thing that inspires me most is interacting with students. Having a part in helping them improve their lives gets me up in the morning. I particularly love challenging their thinking. When they question and disagree it’s particularly rewarding since it indicates they are engaged in critical thinking – one of the most important skills in life.
Much of my free time is spent birding and taking pictures.
If there is one thing I wish for others is that they are able to find a way of making a living that is as rewarding as I have.
