I am the clinical coordinator of the PN program.
I worked 25 years in aviation, from the space shuttle, to the B-1 bomber to Erickson Aircrane and Evergreen Aviation. I always wanted to be a nurse, had a Nancy nurse doll when I was 4. I finally was accepted to Pioneer Pacific in 2007 and began my journey. I graduated Alpha Kappa Gamma from Pioneer and went on to get my Bachelors in Nursing from Indiana State in 2012. During this time, I worked in pediatric home health, long term care and in a clinic as a diabetic educator and triage nurse. I worked at Pioneer as a lab assistant in 2010 helping in the nursing program.
I loved teaching as an LPN, so I began a journey to help me teach for my future.
When I received my RN, I started at Pioneer Pacific as a clinical instructor in the PN program. I became full time after two terms and have taught all phases of the program from A & P to fifth term nursing.
I am now in the middle of my masters, for Family Nurse Practitioner and Nursing Education at Graceland University.
They say do what you love. I love what I do. I love inspiring students to be the best they can and do what they love.
I am married. In our spare time, we work with Shiners’ donating time raise money for the hospital.
