The Program

The Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology provides our students with a solid foundation of entry level IT skills as well as the advanced skills that could lead to mid- and high-level employment opportunities. These advanced skills include:

On the foundational side, the Bachelor’s degree program in Information Technology provides a thorough and integrated progressive study of the IBM compatible computer and its related network/Internet technologies. As a graduate of this program, you’ll be knowledgeable about:

On the software side, you will become knowledgeable in industry-standard application programs and understand their use in computer systems and in the world of business. The Microsoft family of operating systems will be covered extensively, so that the students are able to effectively deploy and support those industry-standard platforms. Networking via Windows as well as Linux is profiled.

You will also receive material to prepare you for the Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), the A+ and Network+ certification tests.

What’s included?

The cost of certain required books, tools and supplies is included in the lab fee. Once issued, these items become the property of the student and the lab fee cannot be refunded. All loaned books must be returned in good condition at the end of each term. Students who graduate or withdraw must within one week return all books or the appropriate replacement charge will be made against the student’s account.

For Bachelor of Science Degree in Information Technology the cost of required books, tools and supplies, (including the required laptop computer) is included in the cost of tuition. Upon graduation from the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, the student may choose to keep the laptop computer.
