Position: Accounts Receivable Specialist
Job Location: Corporate Office (Milwaukie,OR)

Essential Job Duties:
  • Apply payments of all forms to student account ledgers and related bank accounts.
  • Prepare deposits – manually and with check scanner.
  • Apply refunds of all forms to student account ledgers.
  • Generate invoices for self-pay students and third-party agencies. Also requires monitoring of payments received.
  • Respond to all student and campus staff inquiries timely and professionally.
  • Process Student Exits.
  • Process Employee Tuition Waiver to student account ledgers.
  • Work with Accounts Payable Specialist re: Unclaimed Checks.
  • Mail AM/PM daily printing from Corp Collections Specialist.
  • Close and Balance Accounts Receivable sub-ledger each month.
  • Follow internal accounting controls.
  • Work with Accounts Payable Specialist on daily mail pickup and distribution.
  • Back-up for Accounts Payable Specialist.
  • Back-up for Pending Charges.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Associate's Degree in Accounting or a related field is required, plus 3 – 5 years of recent accounts receivable experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office – particularly Excel.
  • Excellent organizational skills; attention to detail and accuracy while meeting stated deadlines.
  • Ability to work with little supervision.
  • Strong communication skills and service orientation.
  • Knowledge of general accounting principles.
  • Familiarity with general ledger coding.
  • Familiarity with accounting software, preference to QuickBooks and Campus Vue.
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm
