FACILITIES AND SERVICES FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES

Pioneer Pacific College provides facilities and services for individuals with a disability who are qualified by meeting the academic and technical standards requisite to admission and participation in a program of study. The physical facilities include student parking for individuals with a disability, wheelchair accessibility to classrooms, laboratories, student break room, restrooms and all support service areas in the college. Any student with impaired sensory, manual or speaking skills including intellectual disabilities will be assisted with the provision of reasonable educational auxiliary aids. The college expressly allows for third-party payment of auxiliary aids and services from agencies such as rehabilitation services and/or charitable organizations.

Additionally, the College has designated the Facility/Location Directors or Campus Presidents at each college site to function as the Section 504 Coordinator and the Title IX Coordinator to assist affected students and employees and to coordinate the College’s compliance efforts related to these regulations.

FEES

All programs require a $50 Application Fee to be paid when the Enrollment Agreement is completed, a $400 Registration Fee that will be charged to the student’s account on or after the first day of the term in which they start classes, and a $50 Graduation Fee that will be charged to the student’s account at the beginning of their final term of study.

Pioneer Pacific College’s academic measurement system is quarter credit hours. Each program has an average tuition per credit as listed on the catalog insert. Students required to repeat a course because of a failing grade or withdrawal for any reason will be charged tuition at this rate.

For the Bachelor of Science Degree in Information Technology the cost of the required laptop computer is included in the cost of tuition. Upon graduation from the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, the student may choose to keep the laptop computer.

All tuition and fees for the term must be paid at the time of registration unless documented arrangements for disbursement of financial aid and/or other payment plans have been made.

ADDITIONAL FEES

PROGRAM CHANGE FEE

A $50 fee will be charged to any student making a change from one program to another.

REENTRY FEE

A $50 fee will be charged to any student reentering the college after having withdrawn from school. A student may appeal the $50 re-entry fee if they withdraw for the following conditions only: Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) covered circumstances or military students called to active duty. Students should submit an appeal in writing to the Corporate Director of Financial Aid along with supporting documentation. Students returning from an official leave of absence on the scheduled date will not be charged a fee.

CHALLENGE EXAMINATION FEE

A $75 fee will be charged for each challenge attempted to determine advanced standing. Each applicant is required to test for keyboarding placement if KEY110 is part of the student’s program. If an applicant is unsuccessful challenging KEY110, they will not be charged a challenge examination fee

TRANSCRIPT FEE

The first official transcript is issued upon graduation free of charge. Additional transcripts are $5 each. A signed release is required before any transcripts will be released.

RETURNED CHECK FEE

Students will be required to pay a $25 fee for all checks written to the College that get returned for insufficient funds.

REPLACEMENT DIPLOMA FEE

Students will be charged $10 to replace a diploma.

DAMAGE FEES

Students will be charged for the repair or replacement of any equipment lost or damaged through negligence or willful mischief. This includes damage to any part of the building or its immediate surroundings.

REGISTRATION FEE

All students are charged a $400 registration fee. A registration fee will only be charged for the student’s first enrollment at Pioneer Pacific College.

APPLICATION FEE

All students are charged a $50 application fee with the following exceptions:

  • Students who cancel less than one year from their enrollment date and enroll in the same or different program
  • Active students who change programs within one week of their start date
  • Active students preparing to graduate from a program and seeking to enroll in new program.

 

LAB FEES

Some programs require lab fees.

Culinary Fees – Diploma

A $900 fee is charged at the beginning of the program and is non-refundable. Students upgrading to an AAS degree program are charged an additional $300.

Culinary Fees – Associate

A $1,200 fee is charged at the beginning of the program and is non-refundable. Students who downgrade to Diploma will not have a change in their fee.

Nursing Fees

A $400 fee is charged at the beginning of the 1st academic year.  An additional $400 is charged in the first term of the 2nd academic year for a total of $800. This fee is non-refundable.

Radiologic Technologist Fees

$400 is charged at the beginning of the 1st academic year.  An additional $400 is charged in the first term of the 2nd academic year for a total of $800. This fee is non-refundable.

On-Time Graduation Rate
Pioneer Pacific College calculates on-time graduation rate for students who completed their program of study between July 1, 2015 and June 30, 2016, using the published calendar time for program completion and measured in weeks of instructional time. Students who complete their program of study on or before the student’s expected graduation date, are counted as completers.

Job Placement Rate
Employment rate of students who completed their training between July 1, 2015 and June 30, 2016, and who are placed in their position on or before November 1, 2016 using the following formula:

(Placed by Job Title + Placed by Skills Acquired in the Program + Placed by Benefit of Training) / [(Completed a Program + Graduated from a Program) – (Not Available for Placement Health + Not Available for Placement Continuing Education + Not Available for Placement Military Service + Not Available for Placement due to Visa Restrictions + Not Available for Placement due to ESL Program Enrollment + Not Available for Placement due to Incarceration)]

Employment in the field of study or in a related field:

The position is either

  • Included on the list of job titles published by the institution for which the program prepares students,
  • It requires the use of the skills learned in the student’s program as a predominant component of the job, or
  • The student attests to the benefit of the training received as a catalyst in obtaining or maintaining the position.
