The Practical Nursing program at Pioneer Pacific College prepares graduates for a fulfilling career in the medical field.

Practical Nurses enjoy caring for others, have a positive bedside manner, possess good communication skills, work well as a part of a team and enjoy working with others in a professional medical setting.

About Our Practical Nursing Program:

  • Our program can be completed in 50 academic weeks.

  • Courses are offered at our Beaverton, Springfield, and Wilsonville locations.

  • After successful program completion, graduates will be eligible to apply to the Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) to sit for The National Council Licensure Examination, or NCLEX-PN.

  • Once licensed, the graduate may be employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

  • Skills taught during this program include injections, medication administration, wound care, urinary catheterization, and preparation for the PN-NCLEX.

    • You will gain practical, hands-on experience during the clinical phases of the nursing program in interdisciplinary settings of hospitals, long-term care, and other community health facilities under the supervision of qualified nursing faculty.
