How to Add an Extra Skillset to Boost Your Medical Career

7 March 2017 By Vanessa

Are you looking to add an extra skillset to boost your medical career? Or are you looking to get started in the medical field with a technical career?

At Pioneer Pacific College, we offer a starting point to become a multi-faceted asset to any local medical clinic or physician’s office – and a fast track to get there! That’s why we’ve created our Limited X-Ray certificate program. Obtaining a Limited X-Ray certificate can propel you into a dynamic new medical career!

Career Possibilities

If you’re the type of person who likes to have an important role working with people and problem solving, a position as an X-Ray Tech might be the perfect fit. Our Limited X-Ray program will prepare you to be confident working in a medical environment and with patients to give them the diagnosis and care they need. Depending on the focus of a given clinic or office, the technician may perform basic head, spine, chest, and upper and lower extremity x-rays to help a physician determine diagnosis and treatment. Technicians are responsible not only for obtaining the correct images from a variety of angles, but also caring for the patient as they are being x-rayed. A X-Ray technician is an integral part of the patient’s care team!

Our Program

At Pioneer Pacific we want all of our students to succeed and excel, and this program is designed to help you do just that! From start to finish, the Limited X-Ray program can be completed in 60 academic weeks. During this time you will learn administrative, medical, and radiology skills, as well as gain hands-on experience through lab time and an externship that will help you get comfortable in the medical environment. The Limited X-ray training focuses on safety procedures, techniques for positioning a patient based on injury, and assessing films.

Why Pioneer Pacific?

The combination of our connections and focus on community with short timelines and flexible class offerings make the Limited X-Ray program a great choice to propel your career forward. Often times, local medical offices pay to have their employees attend Pioneer Pacific College’s X-Ray certificate program to add to their existing credentials.

So whether you’re hoping to dive into a fulfilling dynamic career for the first time or changing career direction in your life, Pioneer Pacific College welcomes you! To inquire about this or another program, contact Pioneer Pacific College at 866-772-4636!
