Position: Career Services Director
Job Location: Springfield, OR
Department: Placement
Status: Full time
  • Provide current and past students with assistance in developing career objectives, job leads, resumes, cover letters and interviewing skills.
  • Counsel current and past students by identifying barriers to employment and use knowledge of community resources as well as creative problem solving techniques to assist students in finding work.
  • Maintain placement percentages as required by our accrediting agencies.
  • Establish, develop and maintain relationships with employers and businesses and become their point of contact in order to meet their needs for recruitment, selection and referral for student job listings.
  • Attend and participate in job fairs, career fairs and employer events. Make presentations to students and community members as appropriate.
  • Maintain a database of student information and community service resources and contacts.
  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree plus 2-3 years of experience in job placement and career services or workforce development.
  • Customer service.
  • Presentation skills.
  • Data entry and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 am–5 pm (could vary)
