Position: Extern Coordinator
Job Location: Oregon Culinary Institute
Department: Placement
Status: Full time
Responsibilities:
  • Network and place students into practical externships in culinary, baking & pastry and restaurant management.
  • Monitor and document student progress.
  • Participate in school events.
  • Establish new extern sites and maintain a network of working sites
  • Support Career Services with collaborative placement information and compliance efforts.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent with one year of recruiting or placement experience.
  • Knowledge of the hospitality industry is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills in presentation, verbal, phone, email and written mediums.
  • Candidate must be professional yet personable when representing The College.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Understanding of the Microsoft Office Suite, contact manager applications and a working knowledge of our campus management software.
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm
